Shipping
Demko Knives utilizes various shipping services. Upon checkout, customers have the ability to choose the carrier and service that suits their needs from the available options.
Shipping Timeframes are NOT Guaranteed
Demko Knives will not be held accountable for delivery deadlines, transit times, or missed deliveries. Methods such as USPS Priority or UPS Ground that offer suggested delivery times within a certain number of days are merely estimates, not guarantees.
The only exceptions to this rule are customers who choose and pay for guaranteed delivery methods with delivery dates warrantied by their carrier (UPS Next Day Air, USPS Priority Express, etc.). Demko will work with these customers to refund shipping should the carrier miss its guaranteed delivery window.
Free Shipping on Orders over $150.00
Customers who choose “free shipping” will not choose their shipping methods. The shipping carrier and service is decided by Demko Knives based on parameters such as cost, delivery location, weather, time of year, etc.
Shipping Protection (USA-Made Knives)
- All USA-made folding knives will ship insured with "signature required."
- Even though USA-made knives over $150 come with free shipping, an insurance fee will apply at checkout for qualifying products. This fee insures your package in transit and allows you to receive your full refund if the carrier loses your package.
- Demko Knives will not ship USA-made products without insurance.
- Customers cannot choose to opt out of these protection measures.
Shipping Issues and Resolution
Demko Knives will work with customers who have legitimate shipping disputes, lost packages, or returned-to-sender issues. However, this process must be allowed to play out under the parameters set by the shipping carriers. Patience is the key in these situations. Demko cannot move faster than the carriers will allow in these claim resolutions.
For example, if a package is still moving within a shipping network, but more slowly than the customer would like, this is not a valid claim. If a package has been marked “lost” or “missing” by the carrier, this is a valid claim.
