Following the success of the AD20, the AD20 Compact is the result of some blueprint manipulation by the Demko brothers. After playing with the AD20 platform's handle and blade ratios, and changing the grip area, the AD20 Compact was born. While this knife model may not be conventionally "compact" by industry standards, it is compact for a Demko Knives product, having a blade and handle that are each half an inch shorter than the original AD20. As a result of these few adjustments, many people enjoy the AD20 Compact's slightly smaller footprint in the pocket. The AD20 Compact follows suit of the AD20, coming in "standard" and "slim" blade thickness variants across multiple blade shapes.
